In this side-scrolling shooter you are the lone wolf, the one hope for salvation that mankind has. The enemies are encroaching and its your task to blow them all apart. To aide you in this - a jumbo sized upgradeable turbo cannon. You heard me.
Yes, not only is this game based graphically in the days of yore, with its retro horizontal shaders which give the game a unique appearance. It also has an upgradeable and rechargeable cannon. This cannon fires with the [Z] key. You'll have to repeatedly press the button to get the rapid fire you're used to in other shooters, but holding it down charges it for a power-blast.
Collecting the various upgrades adds functionality to the bare-bones blaster, but also multiplies the power-up shot. Also, let go of the shot before the charge is full for another, different shot.
Clocking in at just one level long, its content is much more than its length. The unique upgrades, the power-ups, the charges, the graphics are all absolutely amazing. This game comes highly, highly recommended.
