In The Complex, you play as a sporty little fella whose soul ambition is to escape the horrible institution he was raised in. Sounds like a reasonable enough thing to want to do, since he was genetically bred as the perfect weapon in the futuristic magnet war. However, beleive it or not, there are some people who do not want you to leave the building.
It's your task, using your wits, agility and weapon to dodge and blast your way through each screen's obstacles. And most obstacles shoot at you. Naturally.
The intriguing part is that most screens contain several magnets bolted into the floor. Hold right click to aim and left click to fire, you can use these magnets to your advantage, by causing bullets to round corners and destroy your enemies.
The unique premise and the pixely graphics go a long way to raising this one above average, however having to sit through the text screens is a bit of a hassle when starting a new game. This is well worth a look especially considering it was created in less than three days.
